FAMILY STATS: Husband Dominic, foot and ankle surgeon. Erin has
a degree in biology and is pursuing one in psychology.
“Cooking is my favorite hobby, although it hasn’t always been so. I was
a disastrous cook until I met my husband. His Italian heritage and enormous appetite inspired me to become a good cook. Taste of Home has
helped me expand my cooking abilities in a way I could never have
imagined. It’s the single, most valuable resource for cooks anywhere.

FAMILY STATS: Husband Michael; daughters Tia, 20 (son-in-law
Casey); Sydnee, 7; and McKinna, 6. Angela and Michael own a farm.
“We live way out in the country, and as you know, country cooks are
the best! My family wants real food, and that means meat and potatoes.
During harvest and planting time, we have extra hands helping out and
extra mouths to feed. We raise corn, soybeans, wheat, hay and beef
cattle.
“I’m studying to become a registered nurse and love to bake good-

“The first thing I learned to bake was homemade bread, and I taught
my daughters and son just like my mom taught me. As a preacher’s
wife, I have lots of opportunities to cook for various functions, including a monthly potluck. I’m trying to cook more nutritiously, using brown
rice, whole grain pasta and low-fat dairy products. My specialty is
desserts, so we do indulge once in a while. When I’m not cooking or
traveling, I enjoy reading culinary mysteries.”

FAMILY STATS: Husband Jim, three grown sons, three granddaughters. Mari Anne and her husband are both retired.
“My interest in cooking began when my mother, sister and I shared
cooking responsibilities at our home in Lake Geneva. To this day, I still
love to cook and bake. Jim and I eat most meals at home, and all of the
family comes home frequently for dinner. We also love to entertain.
“Jim and I take care of our son’s hardware store greenhouses from
April to July. This past summer, I hosted a day camp for our grand-
